Carrie Underwood’s latest music video for “Mama’s Song”, the track off her 2009 album “play on”, has been released online Friday!

The 27-year-old country singer has her real-life mother Carole Underwood and her new husband Mike Fisher featured in the video for the song, which is about a young woman leaving the nest and finding the man of her dreams.

"Mama you taught me to do the right things / So now you have to let your baby fly. And I know you watch me grow up and always want what's best for me / And I think I found the answer to your prayers / And he is good, so good / He treats your little girl like a real man should." Underwood sings the lyrics reference her upbringing and her newlywed status.

American Idol winner turned country music singer Carrie Underwood was engaged to her boyfriend, hockey team Ottawa Senators star Mike Fisher, it was reported today. Carrie Underwood's engagement was confirmed by Mike Fisher himself  on a press conference for tonight's match against the Boston Bruins .

When being pressed for the blogsphere's rumor that they were hitched, Fisher said he had asked Underwood to marry him on Sunday, December 20. He declined to reveal any more details.

"It's true. We're both obviously excited and very happy," he said.

Underwood's rep Jessie Schmidt also confirmed the engagement, but saying no wedding date was set.

Congrats!

Quote Of The Day

"I don't consider myself sexy...I'm kind of a nervous person in general. I'm socially awkward. I'm not tall and sensuous. I usually wear sweats everywhere I go. Oh, and I burp a lot." - Carrie Underwood tells all in the July issue of Cosmo.

PEOPLE's Most Beautiful

PEOPLE has just named their 100 Most Beautiful people.

And who is the lovely lady topping the list and gracing the cover?

"I was a tomboy. I had three brothers. I was the girl with the dress on that always came back in the house filthy with scrapes and bruises. But I was always very girly. I had to be able to twirl so that my underwear showed." - Kate Hudson (Love her!)

A few others that made the mag's coveted cut:

Borat's leading lady Isla Fisher

Samantha Who's Christina Applegate

Country girl Carrie Underwood

High schooler Vanessa Hudgens

One of PEOPLE's Most Beautiful couples, Eva Longoria and Tony Parker. Tony says he likes his wife "best in jeans, a T-shirt and Hugs." Eva's translation, "He means Uggs." Ha, how cute!

The cast of Gossip Girl (duh)

Idol Goes Big And Gives Back

Although Wednesday's American Idol won't be saying goodbye to another contestant, (the results will be shown Thursday night) they will be airing their Idol Gives Back show for the second year in a row. The fundraiser will be raising money for both U.S. and international charities and will feature big stars like Brad Pitt, Hollywood it-couple David and Victoria Beckham, Miley Cyrus, and former Idol winners Carrie Underwood and Jordin Sparks. I recommend having a box of kleenex handy as the show will also include heartfelt stories informing people firsthand on how this special will be making a difference in the lives of many.

Randy Jackson goes from judge to performer.

Former Idol winner and country superstar Carrie Underwood shares a laugh with Teri Hatcher.

Brad Pitt shows his giving heart and waves to his adoring, not to mention screaming, fans.

Fergie, in skin-tight leather pants, cartwheeled across the stage during her performance, squashing all pregnancy rumors.

Celine Dion visits a South African orphanage.

Teen idol Miley Cyrus visits with a young girl in Kentucky, showing her support to the charity organization Save the Children.

Paula Abdul puts a smile on a young boy's face as she spends time at Goshen Elementary School in California.

Girl-next-door actress Reese Witherspoon reads to a class at New Orleans CDF Freedom School.

No stranger to charity work, U2 frontman Bono visits with a volunteer in Tanzania.

Texting Is The New Breakup

Country star Carrie Underwood has revealed that her and hottie Chace Crawford broke up by text message.

"We broke up over text...so it's like 'peace out,'" she told Extra Sunday night.

Claiming the split was mutual, Underwood had nothing bad to say about the Gossip Girl star. "I don't dislike him, so it's no big deal."

Crawford on the other hand, had a harder time.

Sister Candace explained that her brother was upset by the breakup. "It's always hard when you lose a relationship."

And the reasoning behind the high profile split...what else, fame.

The Grammys Celebrate 50 Years

With performances by Beyonce and Tina Turner, Rihanna, Kanye's emotional tribute to his "mama," and Amy Winehouse's much-anticipated (via-satellite) performance, (not to mention her shout-out to incarcerated hubby Blake) the Grammys were definitely something to tune into last night.

Although not present in L.A., but rather in her hometown of London, Winehouse almost had a clean sweep, winning five out of the six awards she was nominated for, including record of the year, song of the year, and best new artist.

Kanye dominated the Grammys as well, winning four awards, including best rap album and best rap solo performance. Not only did he pay tribute to his late mother Donda in song, but also spoke to her in his acceptance speech.

Carrie Underwood went home with two awards, best female vocal performance and best country song for "Before He Cheats" and Alicia Keys, who opened the show singing with a virtual Frank Sinatra, took home the prize for best R&B song for "No One" as well as best female R&B vocal performance.

The last award of the night was given to the very surprised jazz artist Herbie Hancock for album of the year, beating out both Winehouse and West.

Other winners included:
Best male pop vocal performance: Justin Timberlake
Producer of the year, non-classical: Mark Ronson
Best Pop performance by a duo or group with vocals: Maroon 5
Best rock album: Foo Fighters
Best contemporary R&B album: Ne-Yo
Best rap/sung collaboration: "Umbrella," Rihanna featuring Jay-Z
Best male country vocal performance: Keith Urban
Best country album: "These Days," Vince Gill

Below are a few pictures from the evening as well as some of the key performances of the night...

Beyonce shows off her new lighter locks

Fergie looks oh so G-L-A-M-O-R-O-U-S

Rihanna looking fun and flirty in Zac Posen

Amy Winehouse singing "You Know I'm No Good" and "Rehab"

Beyonce performing with Tina Turner

Rihanna with her hit "Umbrella" and "Don't Stop the Music" (as well as performing with The Time)

Kanye West with "Stronger" followed by an emotional tribute to his late mother

And one of my favorite performances of the night, Timothy T. Mitchum and Carol Woods sing "Let It Be" from the motion picture Across the Universe, as the Grammys celebrated the old and the new in their 50th anniversary show
